The Aftermath
Recently, Malaysia was battling by the nation's worst floods in decades in the eastern states. Water level rises so quickly leaving more than 160,000 people fleeing their homes to higher grounds. Essential items such as stationery, clothes, food etc were washed away.Electricity and water supply were unattainable. Many traditional houses made from woods were swiped away within minutes leaving many families in despair .A handful of houses built from concrete survived but mud stains were seen on the walls. Flood evacuees were rescued to the nearby flood relief centers which consist of schools and community halls by sampans. Thankfully, our nation gathered as one by donating generously in terms of cash and goods such as rice, milk, sugar and the list goes on.Although we may not be there physically, but we're certainly there emotionally by providing moral support to the the flood victims in hope to ease the devastation.
